According to Trump, the final negotiations have taken place and adjustments were made following feedback from the Ukrainian side. "I did not want to create a complex agreement, especially considering Ukraine’s financial constraints," he explained. "The Rare Elements Agreement is beneficial for Ukraine as it assures them of an American presence in this vital sector."
Trump expressed optimism about the agreement, stating, "We are ready to sign this agreement. If they are prepared, we can finalize it this afternoon."
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Smigal echoed this sentiment, announcing that the Rare Earth Elements agreement between the two nations is anticipated to be finalized within 24 hours.
This partnership, which builds on a previous agreement signed on April 18, underscores the strategic importance of rare earth elements in the global market and the role they play in securing energy resources amid growing geopolitical tensions.
