USA pledges ongoing support to Ukraine as a valued partner
US provides additional $300 million worth of military aid to Ukraine
The US Department of State announced that it will provide $300 million worth of additional military aid to Ukraine to defend itself against Russian attacks. The aid package is the 37th from the US Department of Defense inventory provided to Ukraine since the start of the war.
The package includes ammunition, howitzer, artillery and tank ammunition, anti-tank guns, rockets, small arms and ammunition, trucks and trailers for transporting heavy equipment, as well as necessary spare parts.
In a written statement, the US Department of State pledged its continued support to Ukraine by saying, “We will continue to stand by our Ukrainian partners who defend themselves against Russia’s war of aggression.”
The announcement of the US military aid comes amidst a worsening situation in Ukraine, with Russian aggression being felt across the country. The situation in Ukraine has led to a 58-hour curfew being declared in Kherson recently.
The aid package will go a long way in helping Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression. The US has been a staunch supporter of Ukraine ever since the start of the war, and it is hoped that this aid package will help Ukraine in its efforts to defend itself against Russian attacks.
