USAID Co-Hosts Startup Summit 2024 in Dushanbe
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is set to host the Startupstan Summit 2024 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan on October 12-13. This event, organized in collaboration with the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan, the State Business Incubator, and the public organization Toji Nurafshon (Tajikistan Venture Capital), aims to foster partnerships among Central Asian countries and development partners to drive economic growth and innovation through cooperation.
The Startupstan Summit 2024 will focus on addressing gaps in Tajikistan’s startup ecosystem, enhancing regional cooperation, and promoting investment-driven growth. According to John P. Riordan, Mission Director of USAID Tajikistan, the event will support both venture capital and startup ecosystems across Central Asia, facilitating regional dialogue through local partners and providing startups with access to financing opportunities.
Over the course of the two-day summit, key players in the venture capital and startup ecosystem from the region will come together. This includes 60 leaders of local and regional startups, venture capital funds, technical experts, special guests, and government authorities.
