Prime Minister Ünal Üstel meets with Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz of Turkey
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel recently had a meeting with Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz of the Republic of Turkey during his visit to Ankara. The meeting between the two officials began with a tete-a-tete discussion before moving on to talks between their respective delegations.

Yılmaz also mentioned that during the President’s recent visit, instructions were given to prepare Ercan Airport for the opening of the first flights on July 20. He expressed his hope that the technical preparations would be completed in time for the inaugural flight, underlining the airport’s significance as a valuable investment and a showcase for the TRNC.
Furthermore, Yılmaz drew attention to the publication of the 2023 Economic and Financial Cooperation Protocol, which was signed between Turkey and the TRNC. He expressed optimism that the protocol would benefit both countries and contribute to the welfare of their respective populations.
Yılmaz conveyed his delight in hosting Prime Minister Üstünel and the TRNC delegation, expressing a desire to enhance cooperation through regular meetings and engagements at different levels.
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel reiterated the unity between Turkey and the TRNC, stating that they stand together through good times and bad. He emphasized their joint efforts for the prosperity of their nations.
During the meetings, Üstel highlighted the evaluation of the recently signed Economic and Financial Cooperation Protocol and the progress made regarding the upcoming opening of the New Ercan Airport on July 20.
