Uzbek Diplomats Discuss Cross-Border Cooperation in Lebap
Embassy of Uzbekistan in Turkmenistan Explores Trade and Economic Opportunities in Lebap Region
Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Turkmenistan recently paid a visit to the Lebap region in order to discuss and negotiate strategies for increasing the volume of exports of Uzbek products, attracting investments, and developing cross-border trade and economic cooperation.
The diplomats engaged in study tours of several enterprises in the region, including “Turkmen Yyldyzy,” “Altyn Burgut,” and “Sir Yag,” where they held discussions with the management regarding potential collaboration.
During negotiations with the management of the “Turkmen Yyldyzy” company, which specializes in the production of cables, director Gurbannazar Rejepov expressed a desire to expand imports of electrically conductive aluminum wires and PVC plastics from Uzbekistan. The company also expressed interest in the possibility of establishing production of copper cable in partnership with Uzbek companies.
At the “Sir Yag” enterprise, a joint venture involving Turkish investments and technologies, discussions focused on the potential supply of high-quality automobile oils to Uzbekistan at competitive prices. Both parties agreed to plan a visit of the “Sir Yag” delegation to Uzbekistan to further explore opportunities for cooperation.
Meanwhile, the director of “Altyn Burgut,” a company engaged in the cultivation and export of tomatoes to Russia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, also expressed interest in collaborating with Uzbek companies.
Following the negotiations, preliminary agreements were reached, signaling a positive step towards enhancing trade and economic ties between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
The visit by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Turkmenistan to the Lebap region showcases the commitment of both countries to fostering mutually beneficial partnerships and promoting economic cooperation.
