Istanbul Police Department Conducts Peace Enforcement Operations
The Istanbul Police Department has carried out peace enforcement operations throughout the city, with teams conducting thorough searches of vehicles and checking drivers’ documents. Various units including the Public Security Branch Directorate, District Police Department, Preventive Services, Traffic Inspection, Aviation, Anti-Narcotic Crimes, Sea Port Branch, and Special Operations teams participated in the inspections.
During the inspections, which took place in areas such as Fatih, Beyoğlu, and Kadıköy, vehicles were stopped and drivers’ documents were checked. Additionally, narcotic dogs were used to assist in searching the vehicles, ensuring a comprehensive examination.
Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya has commended the efforts of the police department in ensuring peace and security in the city, highlighting the importance of such operations in maintaining public safety. These operations are crucial in preventing crime and ensuring the well-being of residents in Istanbul.
