Veysel Eroğlu Appointed as Special Representative to Iraq
In a recent announcement, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has appointed Veysel Eroğlu as the special representative of Turkey to the Republic of Iraq. This decision comes under Articles 4 and 161 of the Presidential Decree. Eroğlu previously held significant governmental positions, notably serving as the Minister of Environment and Forestry from 2007 to 2011 and as the Minister of Forestry and Water Affairs from 2011 to 2018. His extensive experience in forestry and environmental issues may play a crucial role in enhancing Turkey’s diplomatic efforts in Iraq.

In other news, Turan Kuloğlu has been appointed as a member of the Board of Directors at the Turkish Patent and Trademark Institution. This appointment comes in accordance with Articles 2 and 3 of the Presidential Decree No. 3, along with Article 362 of Presidential Decree No. 4. Kuloğlu’s expertise in intellectual property rights will be instrumental as the institution seeks to strengthen its operations in this increasingly important field.
