Vice President Yılmaz participates in Eid prayer in Ankara
Cevdet Yılmaz, a prominent figure in Turkey, delivered a heartfelt message during the Eid al-Fitr celebrations at the Beştepe Millet Mosque in the Presidential Complex. After performing the Eid prayer, he took the time to address the press and offer his greetings and well-wishes to the Islamic world and all Muslims.
Yılmaz emphasized the significance of Eid as a time of unity, brotherhood, and togetherness. He expressed hope that everyone would experience the joy and blessings of the holiday to the fullest. However, he also acknowledged the unfortunate reality that some parts of the world, such as Gaza and Palestine, are celebrating Eid under oppression and distress. Yılmaz extended his prayers for peace and tranquility to those facing hardship during this festive period.
In addition to his Eid message, Yılmaz highlighted the ongoing efforts to provide permanent housing in the earthquake-affected regions of Turkey. He reflected on the devastating earthquakes that struck on February 6 last year, describing it as a “disaster of the century.” Yılmaz visited Hatay recently and witnessed the progress made towards transitioning affected residents from temporary container cities to permanent residences. He extended his congratulations to the resilience of those impacted by the earthquakes and expressed hope for their swift return to normalcy.
As the Eid celebrations continue, Yılmaz urged everyone to cherish moments of joy with loved ones and to strengthen unity, solidarity, and brotherhood. He wished for a peaceful and harmonious holiday season for all, emphasizing the importance of coming together in times of celebration and hardship alike.
