A man playing a computer game in the Uluönder Neighborhood of the Tepebaşı district was reportedly affected by the game and went on a rampage on the streets, injuring five people with an axe and knife. The incident occurred in the evening when the man, identified as AK, put on a mask and bulletproof vest before heading out with the cutting tools in his hands.
AK, who terrified citizens at the Uluönder tram stop, began attacking people indiscriminately, causing panic and fear among the bystanders. However, a quick-thinking police officer on duty managed to neutralize the suspect after witnessing the chaos unfold. Despite trying to flee, AK was apprehended and taken into custody by the police.
The injured individuals were promptly attended to by medical personnel and transported to the hospital for treatment. The authorities have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the motives behind AK’s violent outburst.
