Ankara Traffic Accident Turns Violent: Allegations of Traps and Death Threats Arise
The recent traffic accident in Ankara has taken a dark turn, with one party accusing the other of setting up a trap to extort money and receiving death threats along with their family. However, the accused party has vehemently denied these allegations, claiming that they are being slandered. The shocking moments of a knife attack following the accident were captured on a mobile phone camera, shedding light on the intensity of the situation.
The incident took place on the evening of January 25 in the Karapürçek district of Altındağ. Allegedly, Aleyna Koçaker (24) was maneuvering her vehicle to return to the bend when TY (35) collided with her car. Following the collision, TY and his companions reportedly reacted aggressively towards Koçaker, who locked herself in her vehicle out of fear. The situation escalated, leading to a group of individuals attacking Koçaker’s vehicle with rotating knives in hand. The police were called to the scene to intervene, ultimately diffusing the tension between the parties who then proceeded to file criminal complaints against each other.
As a result of the violent altercation, TY’s 7-year-old nephew sustained minor injuries. Subsequently, TY and his brother YY were detained pending further investigation.
Aleyna Koçaker has described her life as a “nightmare” following the incident, alleging that her family has been threatened by the opposing party. Koçaker claims to have received death threats aimed at forcing her to delete the incriminating footage she captured and change her statement. She has expressed experiencing psychological distress as a result of the ordeal, adding that she feels trapped by the other party’s attempts to extract money from her under false pretenses. Koçaker has appealed to the authorities for assistance, citing the heavy insults and curses she has endured.
In a contrasting account of the events, TY’s wife, Betül Yıldırım, has refuted Koçaker’s claims, stating that they were not responsible for the collision. Yıldırım maintains that the accident report indicated the other party to be 75 percent at fault. She denies any involvement in the violent attack on Koçaker’s vehicle, asserting that her husband merely held a knife as a precautionary measure for protection. Yıldırım has accused Koçaker of distorting the truth and portraying them as a gang on social media, further fueling the ongoing feud between the two parties.
The conflicting narratives and escalating tensions surrounding the Ankara traffic accident underscore the need for a thorough investigation to uncover the truth behind this harrowing incident. As the legal proceedings unfold, both parties continue to stand by their versions of the events, awaiting justice and resolution in this complex case.
