
Visit to Gardiyanoğlu: Acknowledging the Trainees of the Vocational Training Project

Vocational Training Project Trainees Visit Minister of Labor and Social Security
A group of trainees from the Vocational Training Project recently had the honor of visiting Sadık Gardiyanoğlu, the Minister of Labor and Social Security, before the upcoming certificate ceremony. The visit was a gesture of gratitude and appreciation for the support provided by the ministry for the training program.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Security has been actively involved in the Vocational Training and Social Support Project for women, which includes courses in Akdoğan, Değirmenlik, Sele-Sepetta Köza Koza Work, and Karpaz Weaving Art. The certificate ceremony for the participants of these courses is scheduled to take place tomorrow.
During the visit, the trainees, led by Eylem Dolmacı, had the opportunity to express their thanks to Minister Gardiyanoğlu for his support. Alev Ecevit, the Director of the Social Services Department, was also present during the meeting.
In his address to the trainees, Minister Gardiyanoğlu highlighted the importance of empowering women in the workforce and preserving Cypriot culture. He expressed his gratitude for the successful completion of the Vocational Training Courses and announced plans to expand similar programs to other regions.
Alev Ecevit shared that the project had benefitted approximately fifty women in Akdoğan and Milling regions over the past three months. She emphasized the positive impact of the program on participants, both socially and professionally, and confirmed its continuation in 2025.
Eylem Dolmacı, speaking on behalf of the trainees, praised the project for its innovative approach to turning handicrafts into sustainable professions. She commended the program for its success and expressed hope for its continuation in the future.
Following the discussions, the trainees presented Minister Gardiyanoğlu with flowers as a token of their appreciation. The visit served as a meaningful opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security to the development of vocational training programs for women.
