Visits Continue to Narin Güran’s Grave in Tavşantepe Neighborhood
Visits are still ongoing to the grave in Tavşantepe Neighborhood where Narin Güran, who went missing in Bağlar district on August 21 and was tragically found lifeless on the 19th day of the search, is buried. People from various provinces, including the city center, Adıyaman, Şanlıurfa, Mardin, Batman, and Elazığ, come to pray at Narin’s grave and leave toys or flowers as a sign of respect. Some visitors also leave notes they have written or school bags as a tribute to Narin.
Erzurum businessman Ferit Kaya, who had announced a 2 million lira reward for anyone who finds Narin alive or reports her whereabouts a week after her disappearance, also paid a visit to Narin’s grave. During his visit, Kaya expressed his condolences to Narin’s father, Arif Güran, and emphasized the importance of justice being served as soon as possible for those responsible for this tragedy.
Kaya stated, “We visited the grave of our daughter Narin today. May she rest in peace. May our country rest in peace. God willing, those who did this will be held accountable to justice as soon as possible. When we see this grave today, when we see these books, we shout out once again that Narin’s place is in the classroom, not underground. What happened to our daughter Narin. May God never let our country and our nation experience such pain again, and may our children not die.”
Additionally, individuals such as Şindar Meşe from Nusaybin and Metin Çağlın from Bismil expressed their sorrow and offered prayers at Narin’s grave. Meşe shared, “We came here from Nusaybin for our daughter Narin. We were very sorry for her situation. I am also a mother, the pain of losing a child is very difficult. May God not test anyone with their child.” Çağlın added, “We heard, we are really very sorry. I hope these events will be resolved as soon as possible. May God not leave Narin’s right. She was a little child.”
The community continues to show support and solidarity for Narin Güran and her family during this difficult time, with the hope that justice will be served and peace will be found for all involved.
