Warning: 10 Million MNT Fine for Photographing Ballot Paper
Recently, it has come to light that taking a photo of the ballot paper during elections and sharing it with the public is considered illegal in Mongolia. This action, though done unknowingly by some citizens, is a violation of the law. The Communications Regulatory Commission of Mongolia is now looking into this matter and will take steps to address any complaints or violations that may arise.
It is important to note that under the law, individuals who take a photo of the ballot paper will face a hefty fine of 10 million MNT. This measure is put in place to protect the integrity of the voting process and ensure fairness in elections.
In addition to the prohibition on taking photos of the ballot paper, voters are also reminded not to mark the ballot paper with any inappropriate pen or be influenced by any form of bribery or coercion. Doing so will result in the same fine of 10 million MNT.
According to the Constitution of Mongolia, the Parliament consists of 126 members, with 78 members elected through the majority method and 48 members elected through the proportional method. It is crucial for all citizens to understand and abide by the rules and regulations set forth during elections to uphold the democratic process and make their voices heard in a lawful manner.
