Warning: Thunderstorms and Heat Wave Expected from Thrace to Istanbul
The General Directorate of Meteorology has released forecasts predicting various weather conditions across different parts of the country. According to the forecast, the northern, central, and eastern regions are expected to be partly cloudy, with occasional very cloudy conditions. In contrast, the northwest of Central Anatolia, the inner areas of the Eastern Black Sea Region, and several other regions are likely to experience local torrential downpours and thunderstorms. It is anticipated that air temperatures will rise by 2 to 4 degrees in the interior and northern areas, while there will be no significant temperature changes in other regions. The wind is expected to blow mainly from the south, with occasional moderate to strong gusts in specific areas.

– Ankara: Partly cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms in some areas, reaching 36 degrees.
– Istanbul: Partly cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms in the west, with a high of 34 degrees.
– Izmir: Partly cloudy and clear, with temperatures expected to reach 33 degrees.
– Adana: Partly cloudy and clear, with localized cloudiness and a temperature of 35 degrees.
– Antalya: Partly cloudy and clear, with some cloudiness and a high of 32 degrees.
– Samsun: Partly cloudy, reaching 30 degrees.
– Trabzon: Partly cloudy, with some areas experiencing slight cloudiness and a temperature of 27 degrees.
– Erzurum: Partly cloudy, with local showers and thunderstorms expected, reaching 24 degrees.
– Diyarbakir: Partly cloudy and clear, with temperatures soaring to 37 degrees.
In addition, CNN Türk Meteorology Advisor Prof. Dr. Orhan Şen has highlighted the likelihood of thunderstorms in Thrace and the west of Istanbul, as well as rain in several other regions. He also mentioned that temperatures in the north may increase, while winds will be moderate in certain areas.
