Weekend Weather Forecast: Rainy Conditions Across Much of the Country

According to recent estimates from the General Directorate of Meteorology, weather conditions across the country will be partly to mostly cloudy this weekend. While the coastal regions of the Western Black Sea may see clearer skies, other areas are expected to experience intermittent thunderstorms and rain, particularly in various provinces.

Regions including Edirne, Kırklareli, Çanakkale, Adana, Osmaniye, Nevşehir, Yozgat, Sivas, Tokat, Ordu, Giresun, Tunceli, Bingöl, Bitlis, Diyarbakır, Batman, Siirt, Şırnak, and Hakkari are anticipated to receive significant rainfall. The northern parts of Hatay will also experience strong precipitation.

Additionally, dust transportation is predicted in the southeastern regions of Eastern Anatolia, potentially affecting air quality and visibility.

Temperature-wise, the forecast indicates that the air will be warmer than seasonal norms in the eastern parts of Marmara and in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, while most other areas are expected to remain at seasonal averages.

The following day, conditions are likely to persist, with rainfall expected across the eastern Mediterranean, southeastern Anatolia, and the eastern sections of Southeastern Anatolia. Rainfall will be particularly heavy in the southern regions of the western Mediterranean and the Aegean.

Projected high temperatures for the weekend show 20°C in Ankara and Istanbul, 24°C in Izmir, 21°C in Antalya, 25°C in Adana, 16°C in Samsun, and a warm 26°C in Diyarbakır.
