Winners of the III International Internet Olympiad on Ecology revealed in Turkmenistan
The III International Internet Olympiad on Ecology recently concluded at the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, as reported by the official Turkmen press. The competition brought together students from various higher educational institutions not only from Turkmenistan but also from countries such as Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Iran, Indonesia, Pakistan, Malaysia, Azerbaijan, the United States, Belarus, China, and others.
Participants engaged in tasks related to population and biosphere ecology, human ecology, current environmental issues, industrial ecology, environmental monitoring, environmental legislation, and international organizations. They were given one and a half hours to complete these tasks.
Over thirty students from Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Belarus, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan were awarded first-degree diplomas, while approximately fifty participants received second-degree diplomas, and more than eighty students were presented with third-degree diplomas.
Among Turkmenistan’s higher educational institutions, notable achievements were made by students from Turkmen State University named after Magtumguly, the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, Oguz Khan Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan, Turkmen Agricultural Institute, the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, the State Medical University of Turkmenistan named after Myrat Garryyev, and others.
The competition showcased the dedication and knowledge of students in addressing crucial environmental issues, fostering international cooperation, and highlighting the importance of ecological awareness in education.
