Serik and Kaş Experience Unexpected Snowfall
Residents of Serik’s Cumalı neighborhood were taken by surprise this morning as the area was covered in a blanket of snow. The sudden snowfall made it difficult for drivers to navigate the roads, leading to transportation disruptions in some areas. Similarly, in the Kaş district, the snow started falling overnight and intensified in the morning, causing puddles to form on the roads and further disrupting transportation.
The summit of Tahtalı Mountain, standing at an altitude of 2365 meters, also experienced snowfall, turning the landscape into a winter wonderland. Tourist cable car flights to the summit were met with postcard-worthy views, with the Deputy General Manager of Olympos Telephone, Haydar Culfa, remarking on the stunning scenes created by the snow.
Businesses on Tahtalı Mountain are expected to remain open during the upcoming holiday period, with maintenance scheduled for April 2-8. Culfa invited visitors to come and enjoy the panoramic views of the Taurus Mountains covered in white snow.
