Wizz Air to Launch Direct Flights Between Budapest and Mumbai
Hungary and India are set to strengthen their ties with the introduction of direct flights between Budapest and Mumbai. This announcement was made by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó following talks with Indian government officials in New Delhi.
The lack of direct flight connections has been a barrier to maximizing bilateral trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. However, with the conclusion of all necessary agreements, Wizz Air will soon operate daily flights between Budapest and Mumbai, providing a convenient link for travelers.
Minister Szijjártó expressed his excitement about the upcoming direct flights, stating, “The world’s most populous country, one of the fastest-growing countries in the world, will now be directly accessible from Hungary in a few months’ time.”
Efforts are also underway to establish direct flights between New Delhi and Budapest, further enhancing business, studying, diplomatic, and tourism ties between the two nations.
