Workers Trapped in Samsun Landslide
A rescue operation was launched in Evrenuşağı Neighborhood of Bafra district after a collapse occurred while a water well was being opened. The workers, Sabri Bayraktar and Mustafa Aydın, were trapped underground at a depth of approximately 10 meters.
Upon notification, UMKE, AFAD, Fire Department, and gendarmerie teams rushed to the scene to assist in the rescue efforts. However, the hazelnut garden where the well was located posed a challenge for rescue team vehicles to access the site.
Despite the difficult terrain, the teams diligently worked to extract the trapped workers from the collapsed well. Bafra District Governor, Mustafa Altınpınar, also arrived at the scene to oversee and support the rescue operation.
The community is hoping for a successful and timely rescue for the workers involved in this unfortunate incident.
