Working Women Stand Strong: March 8th International Women’s Day – BRTK
The Social Struggle Platform recently held a press conference on March 8, in honor of International Working Women’s Day. The meeting took place at the Bandabuliya Cultural Center, where Sıdıka Özdoğan, the President of Makamer, spoke on behalf of the Social Struggle Platform.
During the conference, Özdoğan emphasized the importance of ensuring gender equality. She stressed the need for the Gender Equality Equality Department to have expert staff and to be activated as soon as possible. Özdoğan also highlighted the necessity of implementing protective, preventive, and deterrent laws against women’s murders and violence.
Following the announcement, Özdoğan shared the event program for the day. The events began on Wednesday, March 5, and ran through Saturday, March 8th.
