Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra to Feature New Conductors and Soloists in 2023/2024 Season

The Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra (PFZ) has announced that its upcoming 2023/2024 season will feature several new conductors and world-famous soloists. Based in Pécs, southwestern Hungary, the orchestra will be conducted by Charles Olivieri-Munroe, Levente Török, Boon Hua Lien, Héja Domonkos, Gergely Kesselyák Kesselyák, Leo McFall, Gabriel Bebeslea, Gérard Korsten, Nicolo Umberto Foron, Gábor Káli, András Keller, Tibor Bogányi, and Gilbert Varga in some of its concerts throughout the season.

The Kodály season ticket, which includes Thursday evening performances in Pécs, will offer audiences the chance to hear over 25 different works by renowned composers such as Beethoven, Ravel, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Paganini, Verdi, Richard Strauss, Bruckner, and Shostakovich, as well as works by György Orbán and Donghoon Shin.

Meanwhile, the Pannon season ticket will feature five performances at Müpa Budapest and will offer audiences the opportunity to see the orchestra in action every two months starting in September. The repertoire will include works by Bartók, Bruch, Rachmaninoff, Dohnányi, Saint-Saëns, Verdi, Paganini, Strauss, Glazunov, and Beethoven, among others.

The season will also feature solo performances by Jennifer Pike and Barnabás Kelemen on violin, Szilárd Ferenc Kovács on organ, and Valentine Michaud on saxophone.
