World Scouting Day: Keeping the Spirit Alive – BRTK
Hakan Ince, President of the Turkish Cypriot Scouting Federation, has conveyed a message on February 22, World Scout Thought Day. In his message, Ince highlighted the positive impact of scouting on young individuals and the important role that the Turkish Cypriot Scouting Federation plays in shaping the youth.
Established on August 2, 2023, the Federation’s primary goal is to promote the personal development of young people and mold them into responsible individuals who contribute positively to nature, society, and humanity. Ince stressed the significance of leadership, responsibility, solidarity, and love for nature, all fundamental principles of scouting, in the growth and development of children and youth.
In his message, Ince expressed, “Today, as we share the same sentiments with millions of scouts worldwide, we remain committed to upholding the spirit of scouting and nurturing our youth in the best possible way. Scouting is not just an activity but a lifelong journey. It is crucial to unite all scouts under one common roof to strengthen scouting and provide more opportunities for our youth. By working together in unity and solidarity, we can accomplish greater things as a scouting community and offer greater support to our young people.”
