Sunwoda, one of the top ten largest battery manufacturers in the world based in China, is planning to build a battery factory in Hungary to prepare for the European market. The news was announced in a recent press release circulated in the international trade press which stated that the company is actively preparing for the European market, including Hungary. The exact location of the Hungarian site has not yet been revealed. This comes just after another Chinese battery giant, Eve Power, announced its plans to invest HUF 400 billion (EUR 3.7 billion) in Hungary and build its first European plant in Debrecen.
