
Yalova Forest Fire Contained

A fire broke out in the forest area between Armutlu district and Esenköy town, near the old Armutlu Pond, for reasons unknown. The Yalova Forest Branch Directorate, along with the Armutlu and Esenköy Fire Brigade teams, were alerted to the scene.
According to a statement from the Governorship of Yalova, the 112 Emergency Call Center received reports of a fire in the Gölbaşı region of Armutlu from a boat in the area. In response to the alert, a total of 2 pumpers, 3 first intervention vehicles, 1 water tanker from Esenköy Municipality, 1 fire truck, 2 water tankers, and 1 fire truck from Armutlu Municipality were dispatched to the area.
The firefighting efforts included a total of 28 personnel, including 15 forest workers, 7 firefighters from Armutlu Municipality, 5 forest conservation officers, and 1 forest operation chief. These teams worked together to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading further.
As the authorities continue to work on containing the fire, residents and visitors to the area are urged to stay alert and follow all safety precautions to prevent any further incidents.
