Yeniboğaziçi Pulya Festival & International Folk Dance Festival Kicks Off

The 13th edition of the Pulya Festival, organized by Yeniboğaziçi Municipality, is currently underway with much enthusiasm. This year, the festival also includes the 4th International Folk Dance Festival, adding an international flair to the event.

The festivities kicked off with a vibrant procession and a symbolic ribbon cutting ceremony. A moment of silence was observed, and the National Anthem was sung, setting a patriotic tone for the event. Opening speeches were delivered by Festival Committee President Atalay Talaykurt, who expressed his gratitude for everyone’s hard work in organizing the festival and wished all attendees a pleasant time.

Mayor Katip Demir of Yeniboğaziçi also shared his excitement for the return of the Pulya festival after it was last held in 2022. He stated, “The anticipated moment has arrived, and we will all have a great time together for the next 10 days.”

The festival saw the participation of various folk dance teams, which were welcomed by Mayor Demir. He also extended his thanks to everyone who played a role in organizing the event. The ceremonial torch was lit, marking the official start of the festival.

Throughout the opening ceremony, attendees were treated to captivating dance performances by folk dance teams and a musical concert by artist Bahadır Saĝlam.
