Yusuf Can Zeybek Celebrates Victory in Kırkpınar Oil Wrestling
After an intense wrestling competition, the 662nd Historical Kırkpınar Oil Wrestling event concluded with an exciting award ceremony. The ceremony took place on a podium in front of the tribune of honor. The top wrestlers were honored and awarded in the presence of distinguished guests.
Yusuf Can Zeybek emerged as the champion in the chief wrestler category, followed by İsmail Balaban in second place. Hüseyin Gümüşalan and Mehmet Yeşil Yeşil were also invited to the podium to receive recognition for their outstanding performances. The awards were presented by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Osman Aşkın Bak. Minister Bak also had the honor of wearing the gold belt of the chief wrestler, which was bestowed upon Zeybek.

The highlight of the ceremony was the hoisting of the Turkish flag by last year’s chief wrestler, Mustafa Tas, followed by the lowering of the flag in the accompaniment of the National Anthem, symbolizing the passing of the torch to the new chief wrestler, Yusuf Can Zeybek.
Zeybek and his supporters celebrated the victory in a private square by dancing to the rhythm of drums and horns. The atmosphere was filled with joy and excitement as they expressed their pride and admiration for the champion. Zeybek, donned with his golden belt, received the trophy and money award for his remarkable performance.
