Zoning plans for 23 neighborhoods in Beykoz approved by Minister Institution
Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, Murat Kurum, recently visited Giresun, meeting with residents in front of the Beykoz Municipality building. The minister promised 24 projects worth 1.5 billion liras, covering social housing, urban transformation, public gardens, and infrastructure investments. Speaking to the Giresun residents, Kurum said that they have completed 3,764 social housing units in the area and will provide 1,550 houses within the scope of Giresun’s first house project.
Kurum further stated that they are presenting two national gardens of 52,000 square meters to Bulancak and Giresun to increase greenery in the area. In the same vein, he mentioned that they have started building the Giresun Culture House in the 60,000 square meter Giresun Federation area located in Beykoz. Additionally, a recreation area will be built in the same location for the people of Beykoz and Giresun.
Kurum highlighted the importance of zoning for neighborhoods in Beykoz, and the ministry has already approved the new zoning plans for 23 neighborhoods in the area, covering an expansive 90 million square meters. The plans cover areas from Akbaba to Riva, Cumhuriyet to Soğuksu, Anadolu Feneri to Mahmut Şevket Paşa, and Dereseki to Görele.
Murat Kurum’s visit was a chance for Giresun residents to hear about various ongoing projects and improvements planned for the area.
