
10-Hour Water Outage Affects 3 Istanbul Districts

Water Supply Disruption in Istanbul: Planned Maintenance Set for 10 Hours
On Wednesday, May 7, Istanbul’s water authority, ISKI, announced upcoming water cuts impacting three districts as part of essential network renovation and maintenance works. The interruptions are slated to begin at 8 PM and will last for approximately ten hours.
The affected districts include Gaziosmanpaşa, Eyüpsultan, and Sultangazi. Residents are advised to prepare in advance, as many have already started taking precautions early in the day to mitigate the impact of the water outage.
Specific neighborhoods that will experience the water cuts include:
- Gaziosmanpaşa District: Bağlarbaşı, Şemsipaşa, Hürriyet, Fevzi Çakmak, Kazım Karabekir, and Yeni.
- Eyüpsultan District: Esentepe, Sakarya, Karadolap, Alibeyköy, Yeşilpınar, Akşemsettin, and Çırçır.
- Sultangazi District: 75th Year, Yunus Emre, and Zübeyde Hanım neighborhoods.
Residents are encouraged to stock up on water to ensure they have sufficient supplies during the maintenance period, which is crucial for improving the overall water distribution in the city.
