14 Injured in Collision Between Two Buses and Caravans

Two buses and a caravan collided in an accident that took place on the 10th kilometer of the Eskişehir-Afyonkarahisar highway. The incident occurred due to the rainy weather, causing the driver of an Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality public bus to lose control. The bus skidded out of control and collided with a caravan and another public bus from the opposite direction. In total, 14 people were injured, with 2 of them in serious condition.

Emergency medical services arrived at the scene to provide initial aid. The seriously injured individuals were taken to Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine Hospital, while others were transferred to different local hospitals for treatment. The Eskişehir-Seyitgazi highway, which was closed due to the accident, has been reopened to traffic. Meanwhile, the gendarmerie teams have initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident.

Following the incident, Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yılmaz Büyükerşen expressed his concerns and shared a get-well message for the injured citizens. He stated, “I was saddened to learn about the tragic accident that involved two of our buses. We are closely monitoring the situation of our injured citizens and wish them all a speedy recovery.”
