
14 Suspects Arrested in ‘Sarallar’ Operation, Latest News from Turkey

The Büyükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation against the criminal organization known as “Sarallar”, which recently made headlines. On November 14, the Istanbul Police Department Organized Crime Branch Directorate teams conducted a simultaneous operation in Istanbul and Izmir, leading to the detainment of 24 suspects, including Özgür Saral.
It was revealed that 5 of the detained individuals had been previously held and arrested. Following the statements taken at the Organized Crime Branch Directorate, 19 suspects were referred to the Büyükçekmece Courthouse after undergoing a health check, while the remaining 5 appeared before the judge from their respective detention facilities.
After appearing in court, Sarallar Group members Murat Can K., Birol Subay A., Özgür S., Rüstem S., Ali Seydo A., Faruk Y., Şahin Y., Ebru Ö., Fatih B., Adar Ç., Burak F., Mehmet A., Samet Can A., and Ömer F. were arrested and sent to prison.
On the other hand, suspects Ecevit Ş., Arif T., Ayfer Abu H., Eda A., Hüseyin K., Özgür M., Sadık Y., Serkan K., Olgun F., and Özgür M. were released under judicial control.
