In a recent statement, Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya announced the success of the “Gürz-37” operations conducted by the Gendarmerie against PKK/KCK in 41 provinces over the past 10 days. The operations resulted in the capture of 147 suspected terrorist organization members, with 30 of them being arrested and 17 placed under judicial control. Minister Yerlikaya emphasized that the operations are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspects.
The coordinated efforts of the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Anti-Terrorism Department of the Gendarmerie General Command, along with the Provincial Gendarmerie Commands, led to the successful apprehension of suspects in various provinces across Turkey. These individuals were found to be actively supporting the PKK/KCK terrorist organization through financing, youth recruitment, and propaganda activities on social media platforms. As a result of the operations, a significant amount of organizational documents and digital materials were seized.
