
21st “Kindness Train” Delivers Aid to Afghanistan

The “Kindness Train” continues to spread goodwill and aid in Afghanistan, as the latest delivery of humanitarian assistance was welcomed in Herat province. The train, which was greeted by Turkey’s Herat Consul General Sinan İlhan, Turkish Red Crescent Deputy Secretary General Şükrü Can, Afghan Red Crescent Deputy Chairman Şahabettin Dilaver, and other Turkish and Afghan officials, brought approximately 730 tons of humanitarian aid to the country.
This shipment includes 4 thousand tents, 43 thousand blankets, 5 thousand family kitchen sets, 10 thousand food parcels, as well as flour, clothing, hygiene, and shelter materials. These essential items will be distributed to needy families in various regions of Afghanistan, providing much-needed support and relief.
The “Kindness Train” initiative, organized under the coordination of AFAD, has been a symbol of solidarity between Turkey and Afghanistan. With this latest delivery, the total amount of humanitarian aid sent from Turkey to Afghanistan through 21 “Kindness Trains” has now reached close to 10 thousand tons.
In a statement released by the Turkish Embassy in Kabul, it was emphasized that Turkey will continue to stand by Afghanistan in times of need. The Kindness Train services serve as a testament to the Turkish people’s unwavering support for their Afghan brothers and sisters.
The aid delivered by previous trains has made a significant impact, benefiting tens of thousands of needy Afghan families. The ongoing efforts to provide assistance and relief to those in need reflect the strong bond and friendship between Turkey and Afghanistan.
