President of Turkmenistan Approves Committee for International Magtymguly Prize
On Friday, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the composition of the committee for the international Magtymguly Prize by his decree, which will come into force on March 1 of this year.
The international Magtymguly Prize is awarded annually for special merits in the scientific study and wide popularization in the world of the creative heritage of the founder of Turkmen classical literature, the great poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi, for his contribution to the establishment of humanistic principles and the development of cultural ties.
In December 2024, the International Magtymguly Prize was awarded to National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
This prestigious award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the understanding and promotion of Magtymguly Fragi’s work, as well as those who have helped to foster cultural connections and humanistic values.
The approval of the committee for the international Magtymguly Prize underscores the commitment of Turkmenistan to honoring its literary and cultural heritage, as well as promoting dialogue and cooperation on an international scale.
