17 New Summaries of Proceedings Against 14 Deputies, Including Chairmen – Latest News in Turkey
17 immunity files belonging to 14 Members of Parliament, including prominent figures such as CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, DEM Party Co-Chairman Tulay Hatımoğulları Oruç, and İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu, have been submitted to the Presidency of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
The Presidential Decrees on the Lifting of Legislative Immunity were then referred by the Parliament’s Presidency to the Joint Commission Consisting of Members of the Constitution and Justice Commission for further review.
Among the MPs whose files were referred to the Joint Commission are some key figures such as CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, DEM Party Co-Chairman Tulay Hatımoğulları Oruç, İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu, CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Basarir, CHP Denizli Deputy Gülizar Biçer Karaca, and several others.
