185 out of 196 elected congress delegates in Istanbul have signed Özgür Özel as the chairman candidate, according to the Istanbul Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik. Çelik visited CHP Chairman Candidate Özgür Özel in his office in Ankara to hand over the signatures. Çelik stated that the congress process was carried out democratically and that the will of Istanbul was determined through democratic methods. He emphasized that the decision to nominate Özel as the chairman candidate represents not only the will of the congress delegates but also the will of the people of Istanbul, who are demanding change and hope for the future.
Özel, in his speech, thanked the Istanbul Provincial Chairman and all the delegates for their support. Özel mentioned that a congress will be held on November 4th and 5th, and regardless of the number of signatures, they aim to leave the congress hall united and stronger.
