Business Forum in Bishkek Strengthens Interaction Between Entrepreneurs and Foreign Investors
On October 24, 2024, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Bakyt Torobaev, announced the successful conclusion of a business forum aimed at enhancing cooperation between entrepreneurs and foreign investors. The event, held in Bishkek, marked the 10th anniversary of the forum.
A total of 5,000 businessmen, including delegates from 15 different countries, participated in the forum. According to Bakyt Torobaev, the forum has facilitated the internationalization of around 20 projects, with a combined investment value of $186 million.
In order to attract larger investments into the Kyrgyz economy, the government offers significant incentives to investors committing more than $10 million. These incentives include exemptions from VAT, sales, and income taxes, as well as the provision of land for setting up production facilities.
“We are committed to creating a conducive environment for investors interested in tapping into our market,” stated the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet, highlighting the government’s efforts to foster a business-friendly climate.
The successful outcomes of the business forum demonstrate Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to promoting economic growth and fostering partnerships with foreign investors. With ongoing support and incentives, the country aims to further strengthen its position as an attractive destination for investment and business opportunities.
