1912 Children Reunited with Family after Earthquake

After the earthquake that struck on February 6, many families were torn apart and children were left without family members to care for them. The impact of the disaster was particularly hard on these vulnerable young individuals who could not express themselves or reunite with their loved ones.

The Ministry of Family and Social Services has been working tirelessly to monitor and provide assistance to these children who have been affected by the earthquake. In a recent announcement, the Ministry shared that a total of 1,912 children were separated from their families and placed in the Ministry of Disaster Management Children’s Module for assistance.

Out of these children, 1,879 were successfully reunited with their families or relatives, while 6 children received family-oriented services. Tragically, 17 children lost their lives during the treatment process, while 9 were taken under care and protection in institutions affiliated with the ministry.

Despite the challenges, the Ministry emphasized that there are currently no children in hospital treatment and that efforts are being made to ensure the well-being of all children affected by the earthquake. The image of these innocent children without their families is a stark reminder of the importance of providing support and care to those in need during times of crisis.
