2024 FAST Transaction Limit: How Many TL?

Central Bank increases FAST transaction amount limit
In response to the increased demand for the Instant and Continuous Transfer of Funds (FAST) transactions, the Central Bank has announced a new limit effective as of December 2023. This updated limit allows for transactions up to 50 thousand liras, providing users with the ability to transfer money quickly and easily between their accounts in different banks 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Prior to this announcement, customers who wished to send money to another bank’s customer through a different bank were unable to make transactions outside of working hours. As a result, they often had to wait for up to two days for the transfer to take place. This limitation was a major inconvenience for many users.
With the introduction of FAST, this problem has been effectively addressed. Now, payments up to the new transaction limit of 50 thousand liras can be made instantly, regardless of the time or day, even through different banks. This is a significant step forward in improving the flexibility and convenience of banking transactions for customers nationwide.
It is expected that the increase in the FAST transaction amount limit will have positive effects on the overall efficiency and accessibility of banking services, as well as the ease of financial transactions for individuals and institutions. The Central Bank’s decision to accommodate the growing demand for faster and more flexible money transfers reflects their commitment to meeting the evolving needs of consumers in an increasingly digital world.
