
2024 Istanbul Public Transportation Fare Schedule: Full Monthly Akbil Fee and IETT, Metro, Metrobus Prices

Public transportation fees in Istanbul have increased as of January 2024. This decision was made at the Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME) meeting, where proposals for electronic tickets, taxis, shared taxis, and minibuses were discussed and accepted. The prices for bus, metro, marmaray, metrobus, and minibus fares have all changed following this increase. Additionally, taxi opening fees and student shuttles have also seen an increase.
For those living in Istanbul, it’s important to note the changes in public transportation fare tariffs for 2024. The Istanbul public transportation price tariff for IETT, Bus Inc., Private Public Buses, Tram, and rail systems has been updated. Here is a breakdown of some of the updated prices:
– Istanbulkart full printing increased to 17.70 TL, while the student edition is now 8.63 TL.
– Metrobus full ticket costs 26.25 lira, student ticket is priced at 8.64 lira, and social card (teacher and 60 years old) is 14.40 lira.
– Marmaray full track fare has increased to 39.16 TL.
– Taxi hop-on-hop-off fee has been raised to 90 TL, and taxi opening fee is now 24.55 TL.
– Minibus fares will range between 15.50 TL and 20 TL depending on the distance.
– Monthly Blue Card full now costs 1,388.86 TL, while the student version is priced at 250.16 TL.
In addition, school transportation fees for 2024 have also been updated based on distance. Yellow taxis, Turquoise taxis, VIP taxis, and 8+1 taxis all have different starting prices, per kilometer rates, and hop-on and hop-off fees.
