282 Suspected PKK/KCK Members Arrested in Operations Across 51 Provinces
In a recent series of operations carried out in 51 provinces across Turkey, a total of 282 suspects allegedly linked to the PKK/KCK terrorist organization have been apprehended. The operations, known as “Gürz-46,” were coordinated by the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, the General Directorate of Security Department, and the Intelligence Presidency under the leadership of Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya.
According to reports, the suspects were involved in various activities related to the terrorist organization, including operating in the political sphere, providing financial support, engaging in cooperative activities, spreading propaganda through virtual media accounts, and participating in violent street events. As a result of the operations, a significant amount of digital materials, as well as firearms such as AK 47 rifles, shotguns, and pistols, were confiscated.
In a statement shared on social media, Minister Yerlikaya expressed determination to eradicate terrorism from Turkish soil. He emphasized the importance of maintaining peace, unity, and solidarity in the nation, and commended the efforts of the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office and the police forces involved in coordinating the operations.
