Minister Göktaş Visits Sakarya and Discusses Social Services
Minister Göktaş recently visited Sakarya as part of his provincial visits to assess the needs of citizens and cities. During his visit, he met with Governor Rahmi Doğan and discussed ways to enhance social services in the region.
In his statement, Minister Göktaş emphasized that the government is focused on implementing people-centered social policies under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. He highlighted the importance of addressing the priorities and needs of citizens, and mentioned that the Ministry has allocated 8 billion 120 million liras for social support in Sakarya.
Göktaş explained that the Ministry operates 5 social service centers in Sakarya and provides a variety of services to support families, children, women, disabled individuals, and the elderly. This includes financial literacy training for women, care and rehabilitation centers for disabled individuals, and nursing homes for elderly people.
The Minister also mentioned the significant financial support provided to families in Sakarya, including resources for home care services. Additionally, he announced plans to establish a new nursing home in the city to meet the growing demand for elderly care.
Looking ahead, Minister Göktaş discussed the government’s commitment to supporting young couples and families, with a focus on the “Year of the Family” initiative set for 2025. He highlighted the importance of promoting healthy family structures and implementing population policies to support future generations.
During his visit, Minister Göktaş also met with officials from the Metropolitan Municipality and the AK Party Provincial Directorate. He was accompanied by AK Party Sakarya MPs Çiğdem Erdoğan, Ali İnci, and Murat Kaya, as well as other local officials.
Overall, Minister Göktaş reaffirmed the government’s dedication to providing essential social services and supporting families in Sakarya and across Turkey. He expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality received from the people of Sakarya during his visit.
