37 Injured in Gas Cylinder Explosion in Kashkadarya

A gas cylinder explosion during a festive event in the Kukdala district of the Kashkadarya region has left 37 people injured, according to a report from the regional prosecutor’s office. The incident took place in the Tukmor mahalla, where a 20-liter cylinder connected to a gas stove used for frying fish exploded.

As per the Kashkadarya News Telegram channel, the injured individuals were taken to the hospital, with 7 of them still receiving medical treatment. 17 people were in satisfactory condition after receiving first aid and outpatient treatment, while 13 others were discharged after being examined.

Authorities have launched a criminal investigation into the incident under Article 207-2, which deals with official negligence resulting in moderate or serious bodily harm. The cause of the gas cylinder explosion is under investigation as efforts continue to ensure the safety of such events in the future.
