43 Injured in Bishkek Trauma Center After 3 Days of Ice Accidents

Winter Weather Causes Spike in Injuries in Bishkek
In the past three days, at least 43 people have sought medical attention at the trauma center in Bishkek after falling on icy roads. Sagyndyk Aitbaev, Director of the Center for Medical, Consultative Services and Sports Medicine, provided this information to 24.kg news agency.
On December 8, 46 people sought treatment at the trauma center, with 13 of them reporting falls due to icy conditions. The following day, December 9, 17 out of 44 people cited the same reason for their injuries. The trend continued on December 10, with 28 individuals seeking medical help, including 13 due to falls on ice.
The spike in accidents coincides with snowfall in the capital on Friday and Saturday, December 8 and 9. Despite these conditions, the City Hall reported that they have been actively clearing the streets of snow.
The increase in injuries due to icy roads highlights the need for caution and preparedness during winter weather conditions. Residents of Bishkek are urged to take extra care when navigating the city’s streets to prevent accidents and injuries.
