47 Suspects Detained in Organized Crime Operation in Turkey
In a recent operation conducted by the Istanbul Police Department’s Organized Crime Branch Directorate, the “Zaza Doğan” organized crime organization has been dismantled. The operation, named Cage, took place simultaneously in Istanbul, Muğla, Bursa, and Mersin.
Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya shared the details of the operation, stating that a total of 47 suspects were detained. The police seized 8 guns and 1 kg of drugs during the searches conducted as part of the operation.
Yerlikaya commended the police for their successful operation and emphasized that the government will not tolerate any form of organized crime. He stated, “We will not tolerate those who are arrogant in crime, those who disturb the peace of our people, organized crime organizations, and gangs. We will destroy organized crime organizations of any size and bring them to justice.”
The “Zaza Doğan” organization, led by Doğan Aykut, has long been involved in various criminal activities. The operation aims to put a stop to their illegal operations and ensure the safety and well-being of the public.
