
47 Suspects Arrested in Anti-DAESH Operations Across 22 Provinces

47 suspects were caught in operations for Daesh in 22 provinces
Minister Yerlikaya recently made a statement on his social media account regarding the operations against the terrorist organization DAESH. He shared information about the “Gurz-48” operations targeting the group.
Yerlikaya emphasized the commitment of the government to ensure peace and stability in every region of the country by conducting year-round operations against terrorist organizations. In the past two weeks alone, operations were carried out in 22 provinces including Istanbul, Izmir, and Adana, leading to the apprehension of 47 suspected members of the DAESH terrorist organization.
The Minister further revealed that the captured suspects were involved in activities such as aiding the terrorist organization, promoting its ideology through social media, and providing financial support. As a result of the operations, a significant amount of digital materials were seized.
The operations were conducted under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Gendarmerie General Command’s Department of Anti-Terrorism. Yerlikaya commended the efforts of the provincial gendarmerie commands and congratulated the gendarmerie teams for their successful operations.
The ongoing efforts against terrorist organizations are crucial in safeguarding the security and stability of the country, and the government remains committed to pursuing all necessary measures to combat terrorism.
