Ambulance carrying psychiatric patient crashes in Bingöl due to heavy snowfall
An ambulance transporting a psychiatric patient from Erzurum to Elazığ met with an accident in the Halifan village of Bingöl’s Karlıova district due to heavy snowfall and fog. The vehicle went out of control and crashed into a ditch at noon, resulting in injuries to 2 gendarmes, 3 medical personnel, and the psychiatric patient.
Upon receiving the news, health and gendarmerie teams were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident. The injured individuals were provided with first aid and then taken to Bingöl State Hospital. Fortunately, it was reported that they were in good health after receiving treatment.
In response to the incident, Provincial Health Director Veysel Tosun and Deputy Head of Health Services Yunus Kuyuldar visited the injured individuals at the hospital to show their support and express wishes for a speedy recovery.
The accident serves as a reminder for the need to exercise caution while driving in adverse weather conditions, and for the importance of providing timely medical care to those in need.
