“950 Products Added to Imitation-Adulteration List: Full-Fat Label, Actually Fat-Free!” – Breaking News

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in Turkey is ramping up its efforts to combat imitation and adulteration in food products. The latest findings reveal that nearly 950 products are posing a threat to consumers’ health.

Among the alarming discoveries include full-fat melted cheese with low-fat content, butter mixed with vegetable oils, strained yoghurt with reduced protein, and processed cheese containing vegetable oil and starch. These misleading products not only deceive consumers but also compromise their nutritional value.

In the meat industry, poultry meat has been detected in various beef products, including heat-treated chicken sausages, ground beef, and beef sausage. Additionally, meat bread stuffing with a leather-like texture and paper kebab containing poultry meat and gizzard were also found to be counterfeit.

The CEO of European defense giant Leonardo commented on the situation, stating that the issue of imitation and adulteration in food products is at an extraordinary level worldwide. The images of scrap remains from a burned factory in Bursa serve as a stark reminder of the consequences of such fraudulent practices.

As consumers, it is crucial to remain vigilant and informed about the products we purchase and consume. By supporting regulatory efforts and demanding transparency from food manufacturers, we can collectively work towards a safer and more trustworthy food industry.
