Uzbek Football Star Abdukodir Khusanov Attends Navruz Celebrations and Meets with President
Uzbek football star Abdukodir Khusanov made a special appearance at the Navruz celebrations held at New Uzbekistan Park on March 21. The talented defender, who plays for both the Uzbekistan national team and Manchester City, joined in the festivities and had the honor of meeting with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
According to reports from the Uzbekistan Football Association, Khusanov presented President Mirziyoyev with a signed Manchester City jersey as a gift during their meeting. A photo released by the Presidential Press Service captured the moment, showing Khusanov accompanied by his father, Hikmat Hoshimov.
Prior to attending the Navruz event, Khusanov had played in a match against Kyrgyzstan on March 20. He is now gearing up to represent the Uzbekistan national team once again in a game against Iran scheduled for March 25.
Interestingly, it was revealed during President Mirziyoyev’s visit to the United Arab Emirates in late January that discussions had taken place regarding Khusanov’s potential transfer to Manchester City. The President had met with Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and one of the owners of the club, where the topic was reportedly discussed.
Fans are eagerly awaiting Khusanov’s next moves both on the field and off it, as his talents continue to shine on the international stage.
