
Abdukodir Khusanov’s Visit to Uzbek Embassy in London

Manchester City and Uzbekistan national football team defender, Abdukodir Khusanov recently paid a visit to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the United Kingdom, situated in London. The young footballer engaged in a friendly conversation with Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to the UK, Ravshan Usmanov, where they discussed Khusanov’s career at one of the top clubs in the English Premier League, his journey in sports, personal interests, and the growing popularity of football in Uzbekistan.
In a social media post, the diplomat expressed well wishes for Khusanov’s continued success, highlighting the pride felt for the compatriot representing Uzbekistan on an international stage.
As a token of appreciation, Khusanov presented a signed jersey with the number 45 to the embassy administration at the conclusion of the meeting. Notably, the 20-year-old defender made headlines when he joined Manchester City from French club Lens in a €40 million transfer, becoming the first Uzbek player in the Premier League. Khusanov proudly wears the jersey number 45 on the field.
Reports also indicate that Khusanov is the highest-paid Uzbek football player, earning €3.5 million annually at Manchester City. His achievements and rapid rise in the football world serve as a source of inspiration for aspiring athletes in Uzbekistan and beyond.
