Abdulaziz Kamilov Honored with Officer Rank in Order of Merit of the Italian Republic
Abdulaziz Kamilov, Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Foreign Policy and Deputy Secretary of the Security Council, has been recognized for his outstanding services by being awarded the rank of Officer in the prestigious “Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.”
The announcement of this honor was made in a press release published on the official website of Gazzetta Ufficiale, the official journal of the Italian government. Along with Kamilov, other distinguished individuals from Italy and around the world were also included in the list of awardees.
The Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, established on March 3, 1951, is Italy’s highest state decoration. It is bestowed upon both Italian citizens and foreign nationals in recognition of their significant contributions in various fields such as literature, the arts, economy, philanthropy, and social and humanitarian activities.
This prestigious award is presented by the President of Italy with the consent of the Prime Minister and is typically conferred twice a year – on June 2 (Republic Day) and December 27 (Constitution Day).
